  • The Iron Wall directed by Mohammed Alatar
    FREE video showing . . . POSTER
    Tuesday 26 August, 7 pm
Iowa City Public Library, Mtg. Rm. A
Vladmir Jabotinsky--the founder and spiritual leader of Revisionist Zionism--in 1923 wrote:
"Zionist colonization...can proceed and develop only under the protection of a power that is independent of the native population-- behind an Iron Wall, which the native population cannot breach."
About the 52-minute video, produced in 2006, the publishers write, "Following the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, more than 200 Israeli settlements and outposts have been built on these Palestinian territories....The Iron Wall...follows the timeline, size, and population of the settlements, reveals how their construction has been a cornerstone of Israeli policy, and demonstrates how the Wall secures [these settlements] as permanent and irreversible facts on the ground." A brief discussion will follow the video showing. More information about the film online at www.theironwall.ps
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all PJP events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, or would like more information about this event, please call Julia at 337-9303.
