EFI Intake Modifications

Pre bolt boss picture...  In a nutshell, the manifold was originally designed for the 351W engine, so this originally had a water crossover passage that ran the width of the front of the intake.  Vertical bosses on the front corners were removed and water passages were also filled in preparation for the new bolt bosses...
Here it is with front bolt bosses.  The left-hand front fuel rail mounting boss had to be removed and replaced with a custom boss so the intake bolt between #5 and #6 runners could be fitted into the intake, otherwise, the boss interfered.  The contour of the front block sealing surface was built up because I wasn't happy with the original shape of the front seal contour.  It has to be reshaped to look more original.
At the rear, the crankcase evacuation port and much of the base manifold was removed.  The original 351W intake bulges outward, whereas the 351C end seal is recessed.  Both ends in these pics are roughly the correct shape.  There is still considerable work to do to clean up the intake and make it appear the way I want it to look.
Here's a picture of the partially reworked mounting bosses at the rear of the intake.  Again, the original Windsor corner bosses were placed vertically rather than on an angle.  Lots of work to do yet...
Right-hand front pic of the partially reworked intake.  Although not complete done, the four corner mounting bosses are beginning to take shape.  Excess weld buildup has been removed down to flush with the spot-faced mounting pad.
