Struts and SN95 Brake Upgrade

This pic shows the two spacers that were required to take up the clearance differences between the SN95 spindle and the mounting bracket on the QA1 lower strut bodies.  I've read where washers can be used to fulfill the same function, but I felt better about using a spacer that spans the length of the spindle.  Support is consistent from bolt to bolt, rather than isolating the clamping force only around the bolt bosses.
Here is an example of what may happen when using products from two separate manufacturers.  There was about 1/8" interference  between the lower edge of the strut body and the upper side of the forward A-arm tube.  As long as the car was driven straight ahead clearance wouldn't have been a problem, but even cars that race in a straight line have to turn onto the return road!  My fix, whether rightly or wrongly, was to have 1/4" worth of the strut body machined off and recapped.
Here's a pic of what things looked like during one of the mockup phases of the front suspension/brake upgrade.
