Wing
| Although it's not a true race car, I like the racy appearance that my pro-stock style wing lends. Performance overkill? Undoubtedly! I doubt whether my car will ever go fast enough to require the down force this might generate. | |
| This angle provides a much better perspective on the wing's dimensions. It extends rearward slightly less than the rear bumper...just in case. | |
| One of the features I really like about my wing is that it is fully self-supporting. There are no tubes that must be extended down to the top of the bumper to support it. Is it heavy? Absolutely. I really dislike having to use a prop rod to support the deck lid when I've got it open, but that's the price I have to pay currently. Part of the problem stems from the overall weight of the wing, and part to the fact that its dimensions and placement at the extreme rear of the deck lid make it all that much "heavier." I hope to maybe make it out of fiberglass one day, but there are too many irons in the fire to do that anytime soon! | |
